On 23.04.2024 Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar UPD cracks down on organized ‘Fake Police’ gang of 9 members hailing from MP (Irani-Gang) involved in cheating & snatching & other 11 criminal cases. Modus Operandi, arrests, & seized items revealed. Stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
On 23.04.2024 ahead of the 2024 general elections, Bhubaneswar UPD is ramping up security measures to ensure a safe and fair electoral process. On 05.04.2024 Info Valley PS of Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar UPD uncovered a robbery masterminded by Somanath Jena, Dipti Ranjan Baliarsingh, Asish Kumar Das, and Smrutiranjan Sethi. Seized items comprise 3 motorcycles pivotal to the crime, a scooter, 3 mobile phones, and a significant cash haul totaling Rs. 9,69,000/-. The recovered money was returned instantly to the complainant.

With 2 main suspects named Suraj Parida and Tapudhar Nayak in custody, this marks the latest success in 2024’s crackdown, total of 17 weapons seized so far.
