1. MANCHESWAR PS CASE NO. 226 DTD.11.09.2013 U/S-302 IPC
This case was registered on the complaint of Manu Charan Pattanayak against suspect Security Guard, Dipti for committing murder of his wife Bachan Sudha Pattanayak. After meticulous and scientific method of investigation, the IO Sri Bharat Chandra Sahoo, the then IIC of Mancheswar PS, submitted charge sheet vide C.S. No.02 dtd.07.01.2014 u/s-454/394/302 IPC against accused Dipti Ranjan Pattanaik @ Nayak. The case ended in conviction on 18.03.2021. The Court of Sessions Judge, Khordha at Bhubaneswar sentenced the accused to undergo imprisonment for life with fine of Rs. 5,000/- for section 302 IPC and R.I. for 03 months and fine of Rs. 2,000/- for section 394/454 IPC.
2. IMPRISONMENT FOR 10 YEARS
Khandagiri PS Case No. 494 dtd. 24.10.2014 u/s 341/294/323/325/ 307/302/34 IPC was registered, investigated into and chargesheeted.After conclusion of trial, Hon’ble Court of Addl. Sessions Judge, Bhubaneswar vide its judgment dtd. 24.07.2018 held the accused persons namely Biju@ Bhagirathi Das and Mithun Das guilty of the charges and sentenced to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment for a term of 10 year(ten year) each for alleged commission of offence u/s 304(II)/34 IPC and to undergo R.I. for a period of six month for the alleged commission of offence u/s 323/34 of IPC. The substantive sentence shall run concurrently.
Commissioner of Police vide his letter No.10130/CP-CS dtd. 20.09.2018, No. 10131/CP-CS dtd. 20.09.2018 & letter No. 10134/CP-CS dtd. 21.09.2018 has commended the efforts of SI Sarbeswar Pradhan(Investigating Officer), Sri Satyabrata Bhoi, IPS,(Supervising Officer) and Sri P.K. Mishra(Spl. Public Prosecutor, Bhubaneswar) for their meticulous investigation, supervision and prosecution of the case leading to conviction.
3. IMPRISONMENT FOR 10 YEARS FOR COMMITTING SEXUAL ASSAULT ON A MINOR GIRL.
Mahila PS Case No. 335 dtd. 14.12.2015 u/s 376(2)(i)/506 IPC/6 POCSO Act was registered, investigated into and chargesheeted.
After conclusion of trial, Hon’ble Court of Addl. Sessions Judge, Bhubaneswar vide its judgment dtd. 30.04.2018 held the accused Bharat Sahoo guilty of the charges and sentenced him to undergo R.I. for 10(ten) years with payment of fine of Rs. 4,000/-(Rupees four thousand) in default to undergo R.I. of 06 (six) months for the offence u/s 6 of the POCSO Act. The convict Bharat Sahoo is also sentenced to undergo R.I. for 01 (one) year for the offence u/s 506 of the IPC.

Public Prosecutor, Bhubaneswar) for meticulous investigation, supervision and prosecution of the case leading to conviction.
4. IMPRISONMENT FOR 10 YEARS FOR COMMITTING SEXUAL ASSAULT ON A MINOR GIRL.
Chandaka PS Case No. 95 dtd. 23.08.2016 u/s 376(2)(i)/4 POCSO Act was registered, investigated into and chargesheeted.
After conclusion of trial, Hon’ble Court of Addl. Sessions Judge, Bhubaneswar vide its judgment dtd. 14.05.2018 held the accused Braja Baskey guilty of the charges and sentenced him to undergo R.I. for 10(ten) years with payment of fine of Rs. 4000/-(four thousand) in default to undergo R.I. of 06 (six) months for the offence u/s 376(2)(i) of the IPC.

Padmanav Pradhan (Investigating Officer), ACP, Sri Fagua Singh, OPS (Supervising Officer) and Sri Subrat Priyadarshi (Spl. Public Prosecutor, Bhubaneswar) for meticulous investigation, supervision and prosecution of the case leading to conviction.
5. IMPRISONMENT FOR LIFE
On 23.01.2016 at 12.45 p.m., complainant Goutam Nayak, S/o Jagannath Nayak of Harijan Basti, Capital Hospital Campus, Bhubaneswar had reported at Airfield PS that on 22.01.2016 at about 7 p.m. there was quarrel between his brother Pravat Nayak with his brother-in-law(husband of sister of his wife) Bijaya Nayak. Following which on that day at about 10 p.m., Bijaya Nayak along with Smt. Laxmi Nayak, Srimati Nayak, Sara Nayak, mother-in-law, elder sister-in-law, sister-in-law of Bijay Nayak respectively, Muna Nayak and Aju Nayak, son of Bijaya Nayak and Kirati Nayak, wife of Pravat Nayak conjointly attacked and murdered his brother Pravat Nayak and threw his dead body on the nearby Railway track tying a CHUNRI on his neck. Basing on this report, Airfield PS Case No. 16 dtd. 23.01.2016 u/s 302/201/34 IPC was registered and investigated into.
After completion of investigation, Chargesheet was submitted against accused persons namely 1) Bijaya Nayak, 2) Srimati@Sumati Nayak, 3) Kirati Nayak, 4) Sara@Sarati Nayak & 5) Laxmi Nayak u/s 302/201/34 IPC.
After conclusion of trial, Hon’ble Court of 2nd Addl. Sessions Judge, Bhubaneswar vide its judgment dtd. 31.03.2018 held the accused Bijaya Nayak guilty of the charges and sentenced him to undergo imprisonment for LIFE and to pay a fine of Rs. 2,000/-(rupees two thousand) only and in default thereof to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment for 01(one) year more for the offence u/s 302 IPC and to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 02(two) years and to pay a fine of Rs. 2,000/-(rupees two thousand) only and in default thereof to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 03(three) months more for the offence u/s 201 IPC. The sentences are to run concurrently.

6. ONE YEAR RIGOROUS IMPRISONMENT FOR VOLUNTARILY CAUSING HURT
On 05.06.2014 at 1.30 p.m., complainant Laxmi Priya Sethi, D/o Prakash Chandra Sethi at Siripur, Bhubaneswar had reported at Khandagir PS that on the same day at 9 a.m., while she was taking her bath near her well, the accused Pravat Sethi abused her in filthy language and assaulted her with a curve stick on her back, backside thigh and face causing injures. When her mother protested, she was also assaulted by means of a knife causing bleeding injuries to her person. The accused also threatened them to kill their entire family if they report to the police. Basing on this report, Khandagiri PS Case No. 281 dtd. 05.06.2014 u/s 341/323/294/354/ 326/307/506 IPC was registered and investigated into.
After completion of investigation, Chargesheet was submitted against accused persons namely Pravat Sethi u/s 341/323/294/354/ 326/307/506 IPC.
After conclusion of trial, Hon’ble Court of Addl. Sessions Judge, Bhubaneswar vide its judgment dtd. 25.04.2018 held the accused Pravat Sethi guilty and sentenced them to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment for 01(one) year for the offence u/s 323 IPC.
