Police Commissioner’s Message

Saumyendra Kumar Priyadarsi

Commissioner of Police

Dear Citizens,

Welcome to the official website of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police. I hope you find the website useful in getting information as well as a range of services. We are making constant efforts to improve our digital out-reach and look forward to your suggestions to improve citizen experience in using the website.

The twin-city of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack remain largely peaceful. Our constant efforts is to make the city safe, peaceful and more livable. We take any form of disorderly activities very seriously and deal with disruption to public order with all the firmness required. Let me assure, there are no external pressures on us when it comes to dealing with anti-socials, nor are there any constraints of legal and material resources. So please co-operate with us and let us make life for our communities peaceful and harmonious.

At the same time, street crimes continue to be an area of concern, particularly incidents of snatching by bike-borne unknown criminals. We are working on improving CCTV coverage, establishing facial recognition system and up-gradation of criminal intelligence as long-term strategies to provide better security cover to our communities. We advise you to remain vigilant and help us with any information that can help us to detect these crimes.

We have a very active community out-reach programme for women and senior citizens. You can find more information on these activities from this website.

With the motto of “Our police, Our safety”, we work on a model of ‘Policing with consent’. I have asked my officers and staff to always behave in a friendly and polite manner with law-biding residents or visitors to the city and to imbibe the spirit of the ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative of the State Government, which is, ‘people are our true masters’.

We are at your service 24 x 7. I also request you to show due consideration and respect while taking assistance of our team members.

I attend to your feedback proactively, but in emergencies do not hesitate to call our Dial 100 service for immediate response.
