On 21.05.2025, the 17th foundation day of the Police Commissionerate, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack was celebrated grandly in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi. On this occasion, 112 newly constructed residential houses were inaugurated and interesting cultural programs were organized by the talents of Saliasahi slum.
To educate the Senior Citizens about new types of cybercrimes, an awareness programme was organized at Traffic PS-I, Bhubaneswar on 14.05.2025 in association with Odisha Retired Police Association, Bhubaneswar.
On 13.05.2025, CP Dr. S. Dev Datta Singh, IPS, in the presence of DCP Traffic Sri Tapan Kumar Mohanty and Sri Ankit Verma, Addl. DCP Traffic distributed sunglasses, Reflective Radium Jackets and insulated water bottles to the traffic personnel of the Twin City at Traffic Police Station-I, given the strenuous duties due to extreme weather conditions.
On 08.05.2025, in a special drive, Commissionerate Police connected with youth and students at CP Headquarters, Bhubaneswar. The first session involved around 170 female students from KIIT and KIMS, Bhubaneswar, who discussed “Safety and Security of Students”. The queries were addressed by Dr. Suresh Dev Datta Singh, Commissioner of Police, Sri Narsingh Bhol, Addl. CP and Sri Jagmohan Meena, DCP, BBSR.
On 08.05.2025, a free health check-up camp was organized at BJB College, Bhubaneswar for the senior citizens of Bhubaneswar in collaboration with Care Hospital and SUM Hospital on behalf of Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, Indian Red Cross Society, Regional Branch.
A Cyber Safety & Security Awareness Programme was organized at East Coast Railway MHS School, Jatni, Bhubaneswar on 07.05.2025 during their Summer Camp. In this programme Cyber Expert , Sri Soumya Ranjan Nayak and SI Pratap Ku. Das, CC & EO PS, Bhubaneswar led an insightful session on essential cyber safety in presence of 200 students and teachers.
On 06.05.2025 According to the information of Brajabandhu dacoits in Baramunda area (112), all PCR vans immediately chased a suspicious vehicle and rescued Maheswar Lenka from the hands of four miscreants. PCR-15 team members felicitated by the Commissioner of Police for saving a precious life at the right time.
On 03.05.2025, the Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Special Crime Unit, busted a major racket involved in illegally allowing interested candidates to enter medical colleges through fraud. Based on reliable intelligence information, the investigating team has arrested the members of this interstate racket, and seized many important documents.
Bhubaneswar Inter-Basti Cricket League final prize distribution program held at Reserve Police Line, Bhubaneswar on 02.05.2025. Nehru Basti, Nayapalli, clinched the Inter-Basti Cricket League Championship 2024-25. Birsha Munda Basti, Saheed Nagar PS, took the Runner-up Trophy, while RNCC Basti, Khandagiri PS, won Best Disciplined Team.
On 30.04.2025, organised a Voluntary Blood Donation camp, at 7th Bn., Bhubaneswar. A total of 66 units of blood were collected from police personnel and local citizens in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, Regional Branch, Commissionerate Police BBSR-CTC.
On the occasion of auspicious Akshaya Tritiya, a police canteen was inaugurated at Police Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar by CP Dr. Suresh Dev Dutta Singh, in the presence of Addl. On 28.04.2025, Police officers from different Police stations under Commissionerate Police received training on E-Investigation, E-Sakshya and other modern investigation methods at Police Seva Bhavan, Bhubaneswar.
On 22.04.2025, A minor boy was kidnapped in Bhubaneswar while returning from school. The incident was reported at the Airport Police Station. After receiving the above information without waiting for the official report, police immediately formed four teams to rescue the juvenile victim. Within 06 hours of the incident, the Commissionerate Police rescued the child and arrested 07 people involved in the case.
On 22.04.2025, 5000 tetra packs of “Nestle Cold Coffee” were donated by “Parichay Foundation”, with the generous support of Nestle India. We appreciate the positive contribution of Parichay Foundation and Nestle India towards the well-being of the traffic personnel of the Commissionerate Police.

Cyber Fraud Amount Recovery Mela was held at CC & EO PS, Bhubaneswar, on 09.04.2025. An amount of approximately ₹ 2 crores was recovered from various fraud accounts over the past three months and returned to the rightful owners.
On 09.04.2025, Special Crime Unit, Commissionerate Police, struck a Major Blow Against Narcotics Trade in Bhubaneswar with the seizure of 515 grams of Brown Sugar worth Rs 50 lakhs. Arrested 02 persons. 02 Mobile phones, a red colored Honda Activa bearing Regd. No. OD 01 AW 4291 was used in the crime.
On 08.04.2025, 124 missing/stolen mobiles were recovered by the DCP office & various PSs under Bhubaneswar UPD. These were returned to their rightful owners during a Mobile Returning Mela held at the DCP office, Bhubaneswar.
