The Cyber and Traffic Awareness Programme was taken up by ACP Traffic Swastik Panda and ACP Anjana Tudu and Police Staffs of Cyber PS at DAV Public School, Pokhariput, Bhubaneswar on 12.12.2022. Accused persons Kajal, Bitu, Madhu & Sudam and ( Owner of Jagannath Jewellery) receiver nabbed, along with seized items. The gang’s modus operandi and extensive criminal record underscore the need for vigilant community policing.

On 05.04.2024 Info Valley PS of Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar UPD uncovered a robbery masterminded by Somanath Jena, Dipti Ranjan Baliarsingh, Asish Kumar Das, and Smrutiranjan Sethi. Seized items comprise 3 motorcycles pivotal to the crime, a scooter, 3 mobile phones, and a significant cash haul totaling Rs. 9,69,000/-. The recovered money was returned instantly to the complainant.

With 2 main suspects named Suraj Parida and Tapudhar Nayak in custody, this marks the latest success in 2024’s crackdown, total of 17 weapons seized so far.
On 25.03.2024 Commissioner of Police, Sri Sajeeb Panda chaired a special meeting, joined by Addl. CP Awinash Kumar and DCP Bhubaneswar Sri Prateek Singh.
