Following the discovery of a human skeleton in Chandaka Forest on 31st Oct 2025, investigators identified the victim as 72-year-old Balaram Deogam—and unearthed a dark tale of revenge rooted in superstition. Accused Kanhei Hembram and Rama Samada were arrested and forwarded to the Court. Commissioner of Police, Dr Suresh Dev Dutt Singh, IPS, lauded IIC Chandaka PS Smt.
