Your Safety at Home
1.
Always ensure that your doors are locked from inside.
2.
Always switch on the front and rear lights during night time.
3.
Keep your valuables in the lockers of the bank and take them out only when you require them.
4.
Never hand over huge cash, gold etc. to your helps for transportation.
5.
Inform the police about movement of strangers in your locality.
6.
Keep a close watch and inform the police about suspicious sales man, plumber etc.
7.
Install burglars alarm system, security gadgets, surveillance, cameras etc.
8.
Install caller ID system to your telephone.
9.
Display all police related numbers including 100 in your house near your telephone.
10.
Pass on every useful information to the police for prevention and detection of crime.
11.
Never leave your spare key concealed anywhere near the front door-Burglars know all the hiding places.
12.
Change your locks every year.
13.
Always pull down the doors and window curtains, especially during evening hours since it reduces the temptations of the thieves to target your house
14.
Have peep-in installed in the front door of your house, so that you can see.
15.
When you are away from home for tour or holiday, intimate a reliable neighbor or relative to check your home from time time. Keep in touch with them.
16.
Do not reveal about your holiday trip in advance to too many people.
Tips for Safe Banking
1.
Take adequate precautions before investing your money with any private agencies.
2.
Inform the police immediately about any suspicious financial speculation and other agencies.
3.
Do not be misguided by alluring advertisements unless you thoroughly cross check and verify the real benefits being offered to you.
4.
Insist on getting all receipts for every payment made by you.
5.
Monthly statements of your bank accounts should be invariably checked regularly.
6.
Take adequate care for safe keeping of your cheque book and other important bank documents.
7.
As far as possible bank transactions should be handled personally.
8.
Do not disclose your bank account number/user name/pass ward to anyone.
9.
Do not keep your bank account inoperative for a long time.
10.
Never take an introduction from an unknown persons for the purpose of opening an account in your bank or introduce an unknown person
11.
Keep track on cheques/drafts/pay orders made by you and sent through post/courier services.
Incase of occurrence of crime.
1.
Inform the police about the offence and the movement of offenders by the quickest possible means (dial-100) or the number of the concerned P.S/Mobile No. of concerned Is.I.C.
2.
Do not disturb the scene of the crime so as to enable the police to obtain vital clues.
3.
Render all possible assistance to the police for apprehending the accused persons if he/she is identified.
4.
Furnish all descriptive particulars of the criminals i.e. age, complexion, built or any particular identification marks.
5.
Do not exaggerate the crime details while reporting to the police.
6.
Try and take note of the vehicle used by the accused/ suspects if possible.
7.
Please remember that your role as a responsible citizen of the society is very important in prevention and detection of crime.
Commercial Establishments
1.
Avoid heavy cash payments as far as possible especially in the presence of outsiders.
2.
Hire security personnel from reputed agencies only.
3. Security personnel hired by you should be briefed thoroughly from time to time on various aspects of security.
4.
Avoid talking loudly over phone including cell phone about monetary transactions.
5.
Prefer Central locking system for your establishment.
6.
Install electric alarm system/CCTVs as far as possible.
7.
Remain alert about customers who enter for shopping around the closing time of your establishment.
8.
Conduct a periodical survey of the safety and security systems of your establishment.
