In our sustained effort to
establish better
police-public interface,
launching of the website is
an important landmark.
Coinciding its uploading
with the first Raising Day
function of the Police
Commissionerate has added
significance to the effort.
The website is designed to
disseminate information,
collect feedback and improve
upon with a view to
providing better public
service. It would be an
ideal platform for
interaction,
information-sharing and
better connectivity with
members of the general
public.
The Police Commissionerate
of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack was
established on 1st January,
2008. During the first year
of its functioning while
many systems envisaged in
the Orissa Urban Police Act,
2003, have been put in
place, sincere efforts have
been made to upgrade the
professional skill of our
man power with a view to
effectively combat crime and
maintain law and order. We
have made significant
initiatives to improve
traffic management while
operational handicaps have
been removed to some extent
by sanction of new Police
Stations and additional
manpower. A humble begining
has been made through the
Commissionerate System to
provide quality policing
which needs to be taken
forward. We solicit the
support and cooperation of
all the members of general
public in this endeavour. |
